A powerful symbol of fertility, the glossy, black shivalingam is made from wood and painted with a white Om and the traditional tilak of Lord Shiva with the βthird eyeβ at its center. A three-headed cobra hovers over the lingam alongside a βtrishulβ or trident that rests on a shiny brass holder. Atop is a brass pot in which you can fill gangajal or water. The pot has a tiny hole at the bottom for the water to keep dripping on to the shivalingam.
