Synopsis :
After being well received at Cannes this May, Kaushik Roy's Apna Asmaan is
getting ready to make its appearance felt.
With its promising cast of Irrfan Khan, Shobana, Anupam Kher, Rajat Kapoor
and Dhruv. After Swini Khara's role in Cheeni Kum and Krish Parekh's role in
Dharm, we will be seeing yet another debutante child actor Dhruv Piyush Panjuani
plays out a meaningful role in Apna Asmaan. This film brings forth the complex
layers in a parent child relationship and also the nuances of forced expectations
of parents thrust on children.
The music score of this film has been composed by Leslie Lewis and the tracks
have been sung by the likes of Sukhvinder Singh, Shaan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Chitra
and Shreya Ghosal. At the turning point in Indian cinematic history, this additional
to the league of thoughtful cinema is well timed.
