Rohan Poddar (Ajay Jadeja), is a simpleton. He is mild mannered, not overly ambitious and a philanthropist. His best friend is Dev Mallya (Sunil Shetty), a tycoon who rubs shoulders with the high and the mighty. His dream, to be the most successful businessman in the city but in the country. When Saanjh Batra (Celina Jaitly), an interior designer falls in love with Rohan, his happiness seems to be complete.
But there is a sinister game under way. Rohan is arrested and sentenced to life for a murder. While sharing a common grief Dev and Saanjh become close friends. Checkmate for Rohan?
