Sangam (1964) - Sunder (Raj Kapoor), Radha (Vyjantimala) and Gopal (Rajinder Kumar) are childhood friends. Sunder is obsessed with Radha, while she has her heart set on Gopal. When Gopal comes to know of Sunder’s passion for Radha, he decides to sacrifice his love for the sake of his friend. Years later when Sunder and Radha are married, Sunder comes across a love letter, written to Radha and becomes jealous. She refuses to name the writer. Jealousy eats up Sunder, but his love for Radha, not dimmed a bit, is now laced with pain and helplessness. The story throbs with emotion. The husband wife relationship intermingled with strands of love and hurt. The level, to which jealousy, can debase a man.
