Prem Rog (1982) -A love story that transcends romance. A story of the clash between traditions, customs, prejudices and liberal human values. Set in post independent India of the early 50’s when the Rajas, the zamindars and the thakurs still held sway over the common people in large parts of the country. Deodhar (Rishi Kapoor), an orphan and nephew of the village priest has tutored Manorama (Padmimni Kolhapure) the Thakur’s only daughter. He also loved her. But Manorama was not all aware of his feelings for her. When Deodhar returns from the city after completing his further studies, he finds Manorama, a widow having to put up with indignities and harassment. Not being able to keep silent, he wants to revive Manorama’s faith in love and life. But could a poor young man take on the mighty Thakurs? Is love a malady or a matter of faith and justice?

Ram Teri Ganga Maili (1985) - This film is a symbolic enactment of the cleansing powers of the great Indian River, the river ‘Ganga’. Forever cleansing the sins of the teeming multitude that throngs its banks, but itself remaining pure and unsullied. In the film, Ganga (Mandakini) symbolizes the river and the film chronicles the struggle of Narendra (Rajiv Kapoor) & Ganga to come together.
